Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher believes Chelsea have a great chance of going top at the weekend. The two teams go head-to-head at Old Trafford on Saturday in a clash which will have a significant say on the outcome of the Premier League title race. United have endured a tough week, having lost to Bayern Munich in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter final at the Allianz Arena and losing star striker Wayne Rooney for up to three weeks. Sir Alex Ferguson's leading scorer fell awkwardly on his ankle in the game, with scans revealing minor ligament damage. Scotland international Fletcher is looking for the Old Trafford fans to provide a welcome lift to the home side against a team he accepts will be dangerous opponents.

Top side

"The fans at Old Trafford are always great, so they'll hopefully help us over the line," he told The Times. "It does give you a slight advantage, but this is a top Chelsea side. They are capable of winning. "Chelsea have led the league for most of the season, and there is a reason they have done that. They are a very strong team. "A lot of Chelsea players have experience of winning the league - albeit a few years ago - and I know they are determined to get back to that level."
