Chelsea ace Florent Malouda feels he now has greater respect from his team-mates at Stamford Bridge.
The France international is arguably in the best form of his career with the Blues since his arrival from Lyon in 2007.
Malouda struggled to hold down a regular place in the side in his first few seasons at Chelsea, but he has now established himself as a key member of Carlo Ancelotti's side.
The 29-year-old, who has scored 13 goals this season, is now finally feeling accepted and he believes there is more to come from him.
"I feel like I'm more respected when I speak," Malouda told the Daily Mail.
"I feel I have an impact and more credibility. You have to win your place in the hearts and heads of your team-mates.
"That's what I was trying to do from my first year. But I was coming into a team that had won a lot of trophies. Now with the performances I'm putting in, I'm more respected for what I am and what I can give to the team.
"Maybe I was putting too much pressure on my shoulders. I wanted to prove myself and I wasn't satisfied. I always want to do better and I think the best is still to come. I can do much better."
