West Brom defender Jonas Olsson is pleased that his decision to commit to the club earlier in the season has paid off.
The Baggies are on the cusp of promotion to the Premier League after a successful campaign in the Championship.
They can seal the deal away at Watford on Monday if they pick up a victory and Nottingham Forest fail to beat Cardiff.
Olsson signed a contract extension last year that committed him to the Hawthorns outfit for the next four years, and he is happy with his choice.
"When I signed, we had already played some matches," he told Expressen.
"Already then, I felt we had big chances to get promoted.
"It has been a tough year, but hopefully we will get promoted and it will be worth it.
"I have matured as a player and as a person. I have never been suspended in England."
Olsson will most likely be playing his football in the English top-flight next term, having had previous spells in Sweden and Holland.
