Keeper keen to try his luck in top flight

Former Bristol City star Adriano Basso is hoping to achieve his dream of moving to the Premier League. Basso is a free agent after having his contract at Ashton Gate cancelled by mutual consent last month. The Brazilian decided to leave City after he found himself out of favour for turning down a new contract at the Championship club. Basso has been outstanding over the past couple of seasons having established himself as one of the top goalkeepers outside of the Premier League. A number of foreign clubs are keen on signing the athletic shot-stopper, but Basso has his heart set on joining a Premier League club and trying his luck in England's top flight. "I only left Bristol City to pursue my dream and I am confident that given the opportunity I can make a contribution to a Premiership goalkeeping squad both on and off the field," Basso told skysports.com. "I am still at the peak of my career and when I finish playing, I would like to have played with the best."
