Shay Given has told Sky Sports News that Manchester City are firmly focused on claiming a UEFA Champions League spot.
The Irish shot-stopper insists that recent stories that some City players are unhappy with extra training are not an issue.
Given maintains that finishing in the top four is the sole focus of everyone at Eastlands.
"You can talk all night about different managers and different ideas and different methods, but it is all about results," he told Sky Sports News.
"The management, the players, the staff and the hierarchy at this club want this club to finish in the Champions League and we are desperate to do that, so we are all sticking together and hopefully come May 9th we will have secured that spot."
Battle not over
City have taken control of fourth spot and are currently four points clear of their nearest rival - but Given insists that the battle is far from over.
"If you look at Liverpool they have an easier run-in, despite having a game less," he continued.
"We have got one of the toughest and Spurs have a tough run-in as well, so there will be a few more twists before the end of the season but our recent results have been good confidence is high and we are looking forward to the games coming up."
Given is now looking forward to this weekend's Manchester derby, which can be seen live on Sky Sports this Saturday.
And the City star admits that this time next season, the derby match-up will also be a title battle.
"We are progressing for sure, and we want to keep progressing and become stronger and hopefully next year we will be talking about the derby and us going for the title," he concluded.
