Darren Fletcher insists Manchester United will not be panicking as the Premier League title race enters the final straight.
The Red Devils remain just a point behind league leaders Chelsea following their late 3-1 home success over Tottenham on Saturday.
Chelsea did their goal difference the power of good by thumping Stoke 7-0 at Stamford Bridge just 24 hours later to maintain their advantage.
Although United are playing catch-up in the last two games, Fletcher insists his team-mates will continue to play the way they have all season.
Some fans are keen to see United get the ball forward early, although the Scot believes their patient build-up is the right way to play.
"We just keep believing in the way we play," said the Scotland skipper.
"We don't get desperate. Although we throw players forward we still keep passing, try to get the ball wide and create the right opportunities.
"Sometimes the fans might want the ball forward early but 50-50 balls are no good. We want to keep playing the way we know."
Fletcher has also piled the praise on veteran duo Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes, who are still making vital contributions.
Giggs bagged a brace of penalties against Spurs while Scholes' last-gasp header secured the points in their recent derby win against City.
"There are no two better players in pressure situations than Paul and Ryan," he continued.
"They have been there and done it for 15 or 20 years and they are still putting performances in.
"It is great experience to have around the place. They are born winners. It is what you want in a squad."
