Argyle winger ready to commit to Home Park

Plymouth Argyle winger Yannick Bolasie is hoping to put pen-to-paper on a new deal after impressing this season. The Congolese youngster has caught the eye with a number of stunning performances, despite the Pilgrims' struggles this season. The 20-year-old was offered a new deal by Devon-based outfit recently and he has told skysports.com that he would love to stay at the club beyond this season. "My parents are having a look over the offer, so it is something that I would like to get sorted as soon as possible, but obviously these things can take a little time," he said. "I don't expect it to take too long though and that will give me something to look forward to next season after the disappointment of relegation last week." Plymouth's relegation to League One was confirmed last week, after a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United, who sealed the Championship title at the same time, but Bolasie insists it is important to look forward now instead of dwelling on the disappointment of this season. "I'm very happy with the way it has gone for me personally this season, but at the same time losing isn't the greatest of feelings and unfortunately we have experienced that a lot this year. "I want to be in a winning team, like every other player, so I wouldn't mind being on the bench as long as we came out on top, but that is football. "We've been in the drop zone since November, but that is in the past now and we must concentrate on getting things right for next season."
