Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes is unsure if he will be fit to take the field in Wednesday's vital showdown with Manchester City.
Spurs head to Eastlands looking to hold off their only remaining rivals in the battle for fourth place holding a one-point lead over Roberto Mancini's men.
Victory for the North London club would guarantee them a berth in the UEFA Champions League next season, but defeat would hand the initiative to City with one game remaining.
Gomes sustained a groin injury during Saturday's 1-0 home success over Bolton and will undergo a scan to determine if he can make the trip to North West.
Redknapp will play England Under-21 keeper Ben Alnwick, rather than seek an emergency loan, if the former PSV shot-stopper can not see out the rest of the campaign.
Gomes has been a key figure for Spurs this season and the 29-year-old admitted after the victory over Wanderers: "My groin is a little bit sore.
"I don't know if I will be able to play on Wednesday, I'll have to go for a scan at hospital first."
