England coach Fabio Capello expects Wayne Rooney to be fit in time to take part in the pre-World Cup training camp in Austria.
Rooney aggravated a groin injury during Manchester United's 4-0 win over Stoke City on Sunday and he was forced to be substituted in the second half.
The groin complaint follows on from an ankle injury sustained against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League and has raised question marks over his fitness for next month's World Cup.
However, with Capello due to name his provisional 30-man squad for the tournament on Tuesday, he allayed fears about his influential front-man's fitness.
He is confident Rooney will be back in training in around a fortnight and he could be involved in the friendlies against Mexico on 24th May and Japan six days later.
No big problems
"There are no big problems," Capello told Sky Sports News.
"He'll be fit in about two weeks' time and will be training in Austria."
Gareth Barry is a major doubt after being ruled out for four weeks after suffering an ankle injury in Manchester City's defeat by Tottenham Hotspur last week.
Capello is waiting on an update on the midfielder's fitness and he also refused to confirm rumours that Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher would be recalled to the squad.
He added: "This is a question for tomorrow when I speak about the squad. You will know the names of the 30 players I select and I would prefer to speak tomorrow.
"I have to wait for some hours because the doctors are speaking with the teams' doctors, so we have to wait, but I have selected the players."
