Leicester City insist Wayne Brown is still a Foxes players following reports of a training ground bust-up prior to their play-off semi-final.
A heated row is believed to have taken place last Friday just 48 hours before the first leg of the Championship play-off semi-final against Cardiff City.
Reports have claimed that Brown was involved in the incident and that he could be offloaded by the Foxes in the summer.
Leicester are aware of the rumours and have released a statement following speculation regarding Brown's future at the Walkers Stadium.
The club statement read: "Leicester City Football Club would like to issue the following statement regarding the recent enquiries concerning Leicester City player, Wayne Brown.
"Wayne Brown remains a Leicester City player and any alleged incidents will be investigated and dealt with internally."
Brown has made 40 appearances for Nigel Pearson's side this season and has been a mainstay of the team since joining from Hull City in 2009.
However, he did not feature in the first leg against Cardiff after suffering with a hamstring problem and he is also understood to have not travelled to Wales for the second leg.
Leicester won 3-2 in the return in Cardiff after a 1-0 defeat at home, but missed out on the final after losing in a penalty shoot-out.
