Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto'o has heaped praise on coach Jose Mourinho ahead of Saturday's UEFA Champions League final against Bayern Munich.
Eto'o, who has worked under managers such as Frank Rijkaard and Pep Guardiola, insists there is no one like the Portuguese boss.
"Jose is unique as a coach and as a human being," he said. "He's unique, he's a one-off. He says what he thinks.
"That formula makes for great results. Until now, Jose has found the right formula for his squad. This creates the right relationship and brings good results."
Saturday's showdown will mark Eto'o's third Champions League final after triumphing with Barcelona against Arsenal in 2006 and last year against Manchester United.
But the striker is expecting a tough challenge against a side that has displayed formidable attacking strength this season.
"Those two finals were against English teams, this will be a new kind of experience - me at a different club, coming up against a great Bayern team," he added.
"It's not only (coach Louis) van Gaal, it's the whole team, the coach, the players. Those are the strengths of Bayern.
"The coach prepares the strategy. The players then have to be able to do what the coach wants."
Eto'o believes his former Barcelona colleague Mark van Bommel could prove a particular threat in Madrid.
"He's a leader, a great player. I've had the opportunity to meet great players throughout my career and he is a real champion," he remarked.
"He has a great mentality, he's always positive, he's a warrior, he gives everything. He's a decisive weapon for his team."
Inter Milan goalkeeper Julio Cesar insists coach Mourinho has a "secret" plan up his sleeve to beat Bayern in Madrid.
"Mourinho is a systematic type," he said. "He is precise, he takes it very seriously. He alone scares opponents.
"As for a technique to beat Bayern, for now this is a secret. People will have to watch the game on Saturday!"
