Winger to join on a free transfer this summer

Morecambe have snapped up left-winger Adam Rundle on a free transfer following his release from Chesterfield. The 25-year-old has penned a two-year contract with the Shrimps, and will officially move to the club on 1st July. Rundle, who came through the ranks at Newcastle before moving to Darlington, spent almost four years at Rochdale but had his contract terminated by mutual consent back in February. Since then he has been playing for Chesterfield, making 16 league appearances for the Spireites, but will now link up with the Shrimps. He told the club's official website: "I had a couple of clubs interested in me but Morecambe was the club that really caught my eye. "They had a great season and did really well to get to the play-offs. "I think the way Morecambe play will really suit my style and I'm really looking forward to it." Morecambe will again be playing their football in League Two next season following a heavy defeat to Dagenham & Redbridge in the play-off semi-finals.
