Arsenal teenager Aaron Ramsey is aiming to push his playing career to new heights when he returns from long-term injury.
The 19-year-old has been sidelined since February after suffering a broken leg while playing against Stoke.
The midfielder, who signed a long -erm contract extension with the Gunners on Tuesday, can not wait to get back in action after watching Arsenal's push for silverware peter out last term.
He told Arsenal TV Online: "It was very frustrating. But there was nothing I could do about it.
"The way I think about it is that it has happened now and there is nothing I can do about it so this is my challenge now, to get back.
"That is what I am concentrating on."
He added: "I think I can still develop my game a lot, and I'm in the right place to do that with the support of the manager and also a squad of very talented players.
"I'm convinced the next few years will be a time where my career kicks on to a new level, it's an exciting time to be part of the club."
Ramsey was well on the way to establishing himself as a key man in the Arsenal midfield before his injury.
He added: "I was feeling very good. I thought I was just starting to play more games back to back so it was probably my best little spell I've had so far - and then the injury had to happen.
"But you can't dwell on things like that. You have to just forget about that and move on. Hopefully I can get through this as quick as possible."
