Carlisle United have brought in striker Craig Curran on a two-year contract from League One rivals Tranmere Rovers.
Curran was out of contract at Tranmere and the 20-year-old was offered an extension to stick with Les Parry's side.
However, he has opted for a move to Carlisle and is looking forward to playing for Greg Abbott's men after scoring 16 goals in 112 appearances for Tranmere.
"I'm really pleased to get it all sorted and I can't wait for pre-season training to start on 1 July," Curran told the club's official website.
"The manager is really ambitious, you can sense that as soon as he talks to you. That's the kind of person that I am, I want to better myself and I think this is the place I can do it.
"I want to keep learning and improve, I'm willing to stay and do extra training whenever possible to achieve that as well."
Abbott added: "Craig is a player who is really hungry to play football and exactly the kind of person we want at this football club.
"He's full of energy and will run himself into the ground. What he needs to add to his game now is a few more goals and hopefully we can work on his game and get that out of him."
