Ghana manager Milovan Rajevac is likely to be without Isaac Vorsah and John Mensah for Saturday's meeting with Australia but he remains upbeat.
Victory for Rajevac's side could put them in command in World Cup Group D after 10-man Germany's surprise defeat to Serbia on Friday.
Having defeated Serbia in their opening game, Ghana know that they have a great chance of reaching the knockout stages as they prepare to meet Australia, who were hammered by Germany earlier in the tournament.
And even though he is likely to be without Vorsah and Mensah through injury in Rustenburg, Rajevac is optimistic about the strength in depth of his squad.
He said: "Vorsah has not been training over the past seven days, we will see tomorrow, but I don't think he will be able to play.
"We will see how the situation is with Mensah, but we have other players who can replace them you know. We have enough players to come in and replace them."
Rajevac, though, is wary of the threat of complacency and he is not prepared to allow his squad to become arrogant.
He continued: "Over the past few days we have been preparing for that. We didn't want players to be overly confident.
"They have to be well concentrated. You know everything happens on the pitch. By making statements we will not win, it's only by the way we perform on the pitch.
"Also, you have seen how the results have gone in this World Cup, so there are no favourites.
"It's all about playing well and getting the result - that's the most important thing."
