Newcastle managers says there have been no bids for key men

Chris Hughton has warned potential suitors that Newcastle would not welcome offers for any of their players. Steven Taylor and Andy Carroll are among the key men to have been linked with moves away from St James' Park. However, Hughton insists there have been no bids for any of Newcastle's senior figures and he is convinced Taylor and Carroll will stay. The Magpies manager wants to keep his squad together ahead of their first campaign back in the Premier League, although he may allow some of the youngsters to go out on loan. "I can categorically say that we have not had one bid or any interest in any of our first team players and we wouldn't welcome any either," Hughton told the Newcastle Chronicle. "There have been no offers for either Steven or Andy. They are important players for us. "The interest that we've had in our players has been about the younger lads, possibly taking them on loan, and that is something that we have to decide on later in the summer."
