Burnley have completed the signing of Preston's Scotland international midfielder Ross Wallace for an undisclosed fee.
As revealed by skysports.com earlier this week Burnley had lined up a deal for Wallace after giving up in their pursuit of Hearts' Andrew Driver.
The 25-year-old, who played for Celtic and Sunderland prior to moving to Deepdale, has signed a three-year contract with the Clarets.
Wallace becomes Brian Laws' third signing this summer following the captures of Wolves' Chris Iwelumo and Dean Marney from Hull City.
Laws has been looking to add a natural left-sided player to his squad and feels the midfielder will bring balance to the team.
"We are delighted to have secured the signing of Ross," Laws told the club's official website.
"He is one of the best left-sided players in the Championship and having him here will add even more to a strong midfield department.
"He is a natural left-sided player and I am sure he will make an immediate impact with the supporters with his ability to manoeuvre the ball and the quality of his delivery.
"He will give us an added balance to the team and I am delighted with this bit of business in getting a player who I believe will be coming to his peak."
