Philipp Lahm says Germany's victory over England proves that the better team will always prevail against better players.
Die Mannschaft shattered the Three Lions' World Cup dreams with a comprehensive 4-1 win against their old foes, and are now in the semi-finals of the South Africa tournament.
Their triumph over England was followed up by a ruthless 4-0 thrashing of Argentina and they head into their last-four clash with Spain on Wednesday in confident mood.
Captain Lahm, 26, insists that even though Germany may not have the stars, it is all about a team spirit and working for each other.
"England are a good team with big players - and you scored two goals against us," he said in the Daily Mirror.
"To win 4-1 against England gave every player a lot of confidence.
"In both games we were ready and you saw again that the better team wins against the better players.
"We have a good team with a good trainer and we are always ready to beat every team."
The Bayern Munich man was particularly impressed with his side's performance against Argentina, and says the tactics were spot on.
"We wanted to restrict them in the middle and push them to the outside, where we did not mind them being," he added.
"You saw in the middle they did not have a big chance against us."
