England have finalised their squad for the European Under 19 championship, and they have thanked a number of Premier League clubs for releasing players.
A number of clubs were far from happy about the prospect of losing some of their young talent for a couple of weeks in the middle of their pre-season - because of the tournament, which takes place in France from July 18th to 30th.
Indeed Blackburn's Phil Jones is one of the players who has been ruled out - but Aston Villa have allowed young striker Nathan Delfouneso to be called up.
"There has been a positive level of co-operation from clubs and the squad will meet up as planned on Monday 12th July before departing for France later that week," said an FA spokesman.
Squad in full:
Declan Rudd (Norwich City), James Severn (Derby County); Nathan Baker (Aston Villa), Stephen Caulker (Tottenham), Matthew Briggs (Fulham), Reece Brown (Manchester United), Nathaniel Clyne (Crystal Palace), Thomas Cruise (Arsenal), Josh Thompson (Celtic); John Bostock, Dean Parrett, Andros Townsend (all Tottenham), Matthew James (Manchester United), Jacob Mellis (Chelsea), Matthew Phillips (Wycombe); Nathan Delfouneso (Aston Villa), Ryan Donaldson (Newcastle United), Frank Nouble (West Ham)
