Easton, Zaaboub, Hall, Sturrock and Bilel join Southend

Southend boss Paul Sturrock has completed the signings of five players as he continues to reshape his squad ahead of the 2010/11 League Two campaign. The Shrimpers chief has signed Craig Easton, Sofiene Zaaboub, Ryan Hall, Blair Sturrock and Mohsni Bilel on one-year pre-contract agreements pending their registration. Easton has made close to 400 professional appearances including over 200 for Dundee, while fellow midfielder Zaaboub has also worked under Sturrock when he became his first signing at Swindon. Youngster Hall came through the ranks at Crystal Palace, while Bilel has been on trial with the Blues for the past week. Sturrock's son Blair has played for Plymouth, Kidderminster, Rochdale, Swindon and Mansfield. Elsewhere, Sturrock hopes to keep Franck Moussa at Roots Hall and is planning to hold discussions with the Belgian midfielder. He said: "Franck is training very hard at this moment in time and I would like to go into negotiations with him regarding a new contract, but obviously that depends on his wage demands and whether they will fit in with the club's structure."
