Huddersfield Town have bolstered their attacking options by snapping up Joe Garner from Nottingham Forest on a six-month loan deal.
Garner has struggled to make an impact at Forest since moving to the City Ground two years ago and scored just twice in 18 Championship appearances last season.
Terriers boss Lee Clark has been chasing Garner for several months and has now added the 22-year-old to his squad for the first half of the campaign.
The former Carlisle United hot-shot could feature in Wednesday's friendly against his old club Blackburn Rovers and Clark is looking forward to working with Garner.
"We're always on the look-out for young, talented footballers and Joe fits that remit perfectly," Clark told the club's official website.
"He has a very good record at this level with Carlisle and went to Nottingham Forest for a lot of money, where he has done reasonably well.
"He's a very talented footballer and we've chased him for a long time. We pursued every avenue in January, but Forest didn't want to do business.
"This summer we started off wanting to do a permanent deal or a longer-term loan, but Forest still think he has a future with them, so we have settled on a window to window loan. We will see what happens from there.
"We're all really happy he is on board and are looking forward to working with him."
