New coach wants more from Ronaldinho and Pato

AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri is targeting improvements from Brazilian pair Ronaldinho and Alexandre Pato. Reports have speculated that the two stars could move on this summer, with Pato a reported target of Chelsea and Ronaldinho linked with Flamengo. But no moves have materialised and new Milan coach Allegri now wants more from the pair as he attempts to bring the Scudetto back to the club for the first time since 2004. As regards Ronaldinho, Allegri said: "There's no doubt about the technical quality of Ronaldinho. He is an extraordinary player that has world class quality. "But in today's football you need more than that.

Balanced group

"We need to construct a balanced group and the strength of a team is for all the players to work for the group in order to obtain a good result. "Ronaldinho has so much quality that he can make a difference. "The team needs to play for him but at the same time he needs to play for the team. "He is a very important player and I expect a lot from him." Ronaldinho struck 12 goals in 36 Serie A appearances for Milan last season, while Pato was hindered by injury woes but still managed to find the net 12 times in 20 league appearances.
Extraordinary talent
But Allegri believes Pato can still improve, saying: "Pato is 20 years old. He is an extraordinary talent who has a lot of room for improvement. "He has an incredible physical and technical quality that not even he knows about. "But at 20, he needs to mature as a person even if from a football standpoint he is a phenomenon."
