Midfielder to be rewarded with contract extension

Skysports.com understands Blackpool's play-off hero Gary Taylor-Fletcher is close to signing a new deal at Bloomfield Road. Taylor-Fletcher scored the second goal in the Seasiders' Wembley success over Cardiff City in May which booked the club's place in the Premier League. He is now set to be rewarded with a new deal after establishing himself as a key man for Blackpool since his 2007 arrival from Huddersfield. The 27-year-old is understood to be ready to sign a one-year extension to his current deal with the option of a further 12 months. The contract extension will be a major boost for the Seasiders ahead of their Premier League bow as Ian Holloway continues his quest to add to his squad. Holloway has yet to finalise any incomings to the club and has now been linked with moves for Marlon Harewood and Michael Ball.
