Crystal Palace co-chairman Martin Long has reiterated the club's desire to keep Birmingham target Nathaniel Clyne at Selhurst Park.
Eagles manager George Burley has made it clear Clyne is not for sale, but that has not deterred the Blues from showing heavy interest in the teenage full-back this summer.
Birmingham boss Alex McLeish has put forward numerous offers in an attempt to bring Clyne to St Andrews, but none has swayed Palace towards a sale.
And Long has emphasised the 19-year-old's importance to the squad, insisting only a substantial bid would persuade Palace to release him.

"Nathaniel is someone we value very highly," Long told the
Croydon Advertiser. "He has just got back from England U19 duty where I believe he did very well.
"I think (Palace co-owner) Steve Parish has said that he won't be sold for as little as £3million and I agree, it will take an awful lot more than that.
"He is a top player, there's no doubt in my mind that he will go on and play for England.
"We want to keep him. If there is a huge bid made then obviously we would have to consider it, but we don't need the money.
"We have done all our cash flows and have budgeted for the season. We are on a stable financial footing now."
