Celtic assistant manager Johan Mjallby has played down fears that captain Scott Brown will miss the start of the season.
Brown felt discomfort in his ankle in Wednesday's 2-1 UEFA Champions League qualifying win over Braga, although the Bhoys crashed out 4-2 on aggregate.
The all-action midfielder has undergone two ankle operations in the past 18 months, sparking fears he may need further surgery.
However, Mjallby has played down the severity of the injury, stating he expects the 25-year-old to feature in their season opener with Inverness.
"I wouldn't think so," responded Mjallby when quizzed whether Brown would be out for any length of time.
"I can't say for certain whether it's going to be a concern but right now I think he's going to be OK for the start of the season."
The Swede added: "He felt a bit sore after the game. He's had problems with his ankle in the past.
"But he had a great game against Braga. If he says he's fine to play that's good enough for me."
