Birmingham goalkeeper Colin Doyle has joined Coventry on a one-month emergency loan deal.
Sky Blues manager Aidy Boothroyd has brought in the 25-year-old shot-stopper as cover for Keiren Westwood, who is on international duty with the Republic of Ireland.
Doyle is likely to make his debut for Coventry in their first-round Carling Cup match at Morecambe on Tuesday night, while academy keeper Michael Quirke is expected to be on the bench following his promotion to the senior squad in Saturday's 2-0 win over Portsmouth.
Cork-born Doyle, a Blues academy product, helped the Midlands club to promotion in 2007, making 19 Championship starts.
However, he is currently the Premier League club's third-choice keeper behind England international Ben Foster and Northern Ireland's Maik Taylor.
The keeper, who has spent time on loan at Millwall (twice) and Nottingham Forest, has represented Ireland at every level, but only once as a senior player in a 1-1 friendly draw against Ecuador in 2007.
