Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes says new signing Javier Hernandez reminds him of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Red Devils agreed a deal to sign Hernandez before the World Cup and his performances for Mexico then showed it to be a good bit of business.
Having scored twice for his country in South Africa, Hernandez has also made a positive impression on his new team-mates since linking up with the United squad in pre-season.
The 22-year-old's goal against Chelsea in the Community Shield may have been fortunate as the ball ricocheted off his face, but Scholes has seen enough in training to be very impressed.
"He looks like an out-and-out goalscorer," said Scholes.
"That's not to say he can't play outside the box as well, because when the ball comes up to him his touch is good as well.
"But he's a threat in behind defenders, and hopefully he'll score a lot of goals this year.
"People say he's like Ole, and I thought that the first time I saw him in training.
"We did a finishing session and everything was in the bottom corner. He scores whenever he gets a chance.
"He comes on and looks lively. He's adapted to the pace of the game already.
"He's capable of scoring goals and if he's anything like Ole, we'll take that."
Nemanja Vidic also rates Hernandez as an exciting prospect, while he is pleased the young striker has settled in quickly.
"He looks sharp. He likes the ball played in behind the defence, he has pace and has scored already, which will be great for his confidence," said Vidic.
"He seems like he's enjoying himself, he speaks English well and that's helped him to settle more quickly.
"It's like he's been here for three years."
Vidic also praised striker Dimitar Berbatov for his goal against Chelsea but stressed the languid Bulgarian, who has often been criticised for not contributing more to the team, has to keep on scoring.
"Everything Dimi does on the pitch is brilliant, but for him it's important to score goals too," the Serbia international told MUTV.
"I hope he gets a few this year to help us win trophies."
