Teaming up with El Hadji is 'dream come true' for United youngster

Blackburn loan signing Mame Biram Diouf is honoured to be playing alongside compatriot and namesake El Hadji Diouf. The Manchester United youngster agreed to a season-long switch to Ewood Park earlier this month in a bid to get to grips with the standard of the Premier League. Diouf, 22, impressed in his six appearances for the Red Devils last term and will team up with one of his heroes in El Hadji Diouf - one of the key reasons behind his move. "I don't know much about Blackburn, but I know a lot about El Hadji," said Blackburn's new recruit, who has four caps for Senegal. "It's a dream come true to have the opportunity to play alongside him. It's a good thing for me that he's here because I know I have someone who can help me. "I used to follow him when I was younger because he is one of the best players in our country. "A lot of young people look up to him and it's a dream for me to be by his side. This is a challenge for me - a chance to show people who I am and how I play." Mame Biram has one goal to his name in English football since his move from Norwegian side Molde and he hopes to enhance his reputation under Rovers boss Sam Allardyce before returning to Old Trafford. "I hope I can score as many goals as possible and then we'll see what happens in the future."
