Stoke manager Tony Pulis has reiterated his hands-off warning to Carlo Ancelotti over goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.
The Chelsea boss has been reportedly lining up another offer for the promising Bosnian shot-stopper after they saw a £4million bid turned down this summer.
The 23-year-old has not landed the No.1 jersey at the Britannia Stadium after joining from Portsmouth in January, instead having to play understudy to Thomas Sorensen.
If Begovic was to move to Stamford Bridge, he would have to settle for a similar role behind Petr Cech, but Pulis is desperate to keep competition to start between the sticks healthy.
Not for sale
"We're not in a position where we must sell. Chelsea made an enquiry but there's no need to cash in on him," said Pulis.
"Chelsea have been told he's not for sale. We're trying to bring players in, not let our better players go.
"We want him to work with Thomas and let the two of them fight it out.
"I got him on a very good deal from Portsmouth and we want to keep the lad.
"I've not made my decision yet on who starts but it's a nice headache to have."
