Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies denied that his side were lacking 'confidence and belief' following a 1-1 draw against Leeds.
The East Midlands side started on fire at the City Ground and deservedly took the lead through Dexter Blackstock's ninth-minute effort.
But the home side failed to build on their opening spell and paid the price when Lloyd Sam grabbed a share of the spoils thanks to a delightful header.
"In the first half, we really should have had the game dead and buried," said the Forest boss.
"I think we should have been three up by half-time which would have been a fair reflection on our play.
"What we have got to do is learn to handle that type of game when it is stop and start. We must get on top of teams and take it from there.
"There is no doubt in my mind that this team are working very hard, showing lots of positives but still have lots to learn.
"Confidence is never a problem with this team."
