Everton manager David Moyes has played down speculation linking Celtic with Joseph Yobo.
The defender has been linked with a season-long loan move to the Hoops after falling down the pecking order at Goodison Park.
But Moyes insists there has been no direct contact from the Scottish Premier League giants concerning the Nigeria international, a £3.5million signing from Marseille seven years ago.
Moyes, himself a former Celtic player, said: "There has been no contact from Celtic directly to me.
"If there is anything out there I have not heard it directly."
