Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky believes team-mate Theo Walcott will maintain his current good form if he continues to ignore his doubters.
Star winger Walcott bagged the first hat-trick of his club career during Arsenal's 6-0 thrashing of Blackpool on Saturday.
The 21-year-old England international has attracted criticism for a lack of end product since joining the Gunners four years ago, something which arguably cost him his place in Fabio Capello's World Cup squad this summer.
But Gunners colleague Rosicky witnessed his heroics against Pool first-hand at the weekend, and feels he will continue to show his true potential if he keeps enjoying his football.
"I just hope he will not play football to answer his critics or something," Rosicky said.
"I think the best way is to go out and enjoy his football - that's always what worked for me.
"Let's go out and enjoy the game and I think he enjoyed it (against Blackpool)."
Czech Republic international Rosicky made his first competitive start since April against the Seasiders on Saturday.
The 29-year-old's Arsenal career has been hampered by hamstring and knee injuries of late, but feels a full pre-season will benefit him this term.
"That was always what I was missing," he added. "I've completed a whole pre-season, I've got a good base, I feel well and hope that will continue."
The Gunners currently sit second in the Premier League table following an impressive start to the campaign, with a draw at Liverpool prior to Saturday's commanding win.
Arsene Wenger's men will travel to Blackburn on Saturday for their next league encounter, and Rosicky feels victory is crucial if the Gunners are to mount a serious title challenge.
"Last season, I think we lost there," he said.
"We know it will be a completely different game but if you want to be title contenders - which I think we are - we have to win there."
