Mark Hughes has made his second signing as Fulham manager following the capture of Algeria international Rafik Halliche.
The 23-year-old defender has penned a three-year deal at Craven Cottage after joining from Portuguese side Benfica for an undisclosed fee.
Halliche is the club's fourth signing since the end of last season following the arrivals of Philippe Senderos, Jonathan Greening and Moussa Dembele.
Halliche spent the majority of his time in Portugal on loan to Nacional and he is relishing the prospect of playing in the Premier League - the best league in the world.
"I'm so happy that my transfer to Fulham has been finalised," he told the club's official website. "For me, the Premier League is the best league in the world.
"To be able to play alongside some wonderful players and to be given an opportunity to compete against some fantastic teams for a team like Fulham is something that I've always dreamed of doing."
The signing of Halliche comes as another boost to Fulham after they twice battled from a goal down on Sunday to claim a fully-deserved point against title contenders Manchester United.
