Rodgers keen to add Dutch midfielder to his squad

Swansea City are optimistic of finalising a deal to sign Dutch midfielder Kemy Agustien within the next week. Agustien, who spent the 2008/09 campaign on loan at Birmingham City, trained with Swansea during pre-season after being released by AZ Alkmaar. However, the former Dutch Under 21 international suffered a knee injury in a friendly against ADO Den Haag which held up his move to the Liberty Stadium. An agreement has now been reached in principle and Swans boss Brendan Rodgers is expecting to soon add the 24-year-old to his squad. Rodgers told the club's official website: "Hopefully we'll get Kemy Agustien which will be done in the next week or so. "He's coming on very, very well. Everything has been agreed in principle with him, subject to a medical, and we don't see that being a problem. "We're looking forward to getting him in and getting him a part of what is already a very good squad."
