Gareth McAuley believes Ipswich Town are now starting to reap the rewards of manager Roy Keane's intense fitness regime.
Ipswich have enjoyed an unbeaten start to the new Championship season and are level on points with Queens Park Rangers and Cardiff City at the top of the table.
The start is a marked contrast to 12 months ago when Town had to wait until their 15th match to pick up their first league win.
Last season's inconsistent form had raised questions over Keane's future at Portman Road, but McAuley believes everything has now settled down.
The Northern Ireland international, who was linked with Bristol City before the start of the campaign, is now enjoying the benefits of working under Keane.
McAuley said: "Everything at the club has just settled down.
"Everyone is now used to the coaching and used to the levels of fitness that are expected. We are a very fit side. The pre-season was top-notch.
"You play 90 minutes and you feel like you could go again straight after it. We have got scientific staff, who do all the testing and it is very, very professional.
"I feel fit and strong and confident. I've had a good start personally as well as the team. It is going well at the minute."
