Aidy Boothroyd has played down concerns over the delay in Marlon King's move to Coventry, describing the switch as 'inevitable'.
The former Wigan striker has been searching for a new club since leaving prison in July and Boothroyd has been looking to push through a deal for some time now.
He had hoped to complete the signing of King before Saturday's match against Leicester but has been made to wait a little longer.
The Sky Blues manager says there is no danger of the deal falling through, with the delay due to the 'delicacy' of the situation.
Boothroyd has been impressed by King's form and fitness in training over the past couple of weeks and expects the matter to be resolved very soon.

"It is something that is inevitable. We are sorting some things out," Boothroyd, who worked with King at Watford, said in the
Daily Mirror.
"He looks very, very sharp and he will get goals.
"When he came to Watford he was hungry and had a point to prove and that's the Marlon King that we have got here now. He is ready and wants to sign.
"There are no problems, it is just a very delicate situation.
"The club have been as professional as they possibly can be in making sure we have covered all bases - that we make sure everything is right for the player, the club and everyone concerned with it."
