Kirk Broadfoot admits Rangers' 0-0 draw at Manchester United in their opening UEFA Champions League group game 'feels like a win'.
Rangers produced a disciplined performance at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening to frustrate the favourites to win Group C.
Though the match was overshadowed by a sickening injury suffered by United winger Antonio Valencia, the home side struggled to create any clear-cut opportunities.
Broadfoot was deployed at left-back by manager Walter Smith and had no qualms in slotting into that role in a five-man defence.
The Scotland international believes Gers deserve credit for giving such a well-organised display and was more than satisfied to emerge with a point.
"I played in pre-season in that position so I knew what my job was, I knew the game-plan and I just stuck to my game-plan," said Broadfoot.
"We are just delighted to come to Old Trafford and get the point to be honest. It does feel like a win because not a lot of teams come here and get a point so we are delighted.
"We deserve credit for coming to Old Trafford and getting a point because not many teams do that. I'm sure if you were to ask any team in the Premier League, they would be delighted to come to Old Trafford and get a point.
"People might say it's negative, but we had chances to win the game, albeit not as many as them, and we are happy with the point."
