Leeds United striker Davide Somma admits his goal against Barnsley on Tuesday was worthless after the heavy defeat.
Simon Grayson's Whites went down 5-2 at Oakwell, despite taking an early lead through Jonathan Howson in South Yorkshire, with Somma bagging a consolation effort with the score at 5-1.
It was the South African's fourth strike in as many games and he is now pressing for a start against Doncaster Rovers on Friday night.
Somma insists Leeds must move on from the disappointing loss, and insists the team performance is more important than his personal achievements.
He said: "You're always happy to score but you want to score to help the team. That didn't really help the team - maybe next time.
"Whenever I'm called upon I'm ready. I just want to help the team and help Leeds.
"It was a tough defeat but we have another game coming up. The Barnsley game is in the past now and we have to move on. These things can happen in football."
