Harry Redknapp is relishing the opportunity to play Rafael van der Vaart and Luka Modric in the same team for Tottenham Hotspur.
Van der Vaart made a surprise deadline day move to Spurs from Real Madrid and has been quick to make an impact at White Hart Lane.
His arrival had cast doubt on whether he could line up alongside Modric in Spurs' midfield and the duo have so far only played half-an-hour together after the Croatian suffered an injury at West Brom.
Spurs boss Redknapp does not believe the schemers are too similar in style and admits he is going to have a selection dilemma on his hands.
"I'm looking forward to playing him and Modric together," said Redknapp. "I love players who can find a pass and make something happen. They will play great together and really enjoy playing together.
"I've got a real problem with competition at the moment because Jermaine Jenas is playing well as well, but it's great for me."
Van der Vaart scored his first goal for the club in Saturday's 3-1 win over Wolves and Redknapp again expressed his gratitude to chairman Daniel Levy for arranging the deal for the Holland international.
He added: "The chairman rang me up at 4pm and said he had a present for me. I thought he had a new club car for me, but it was a player instead.
"He thought it was just going to be a loan, but ended up buying him instead.
"I didn't push at all for him. He was on a list three month ago, I watched him play for Holland and liked him and that was it.
"It wasn't a case that I needed him badly, but he's a good player."
