Michael O'Connor has backed caretaker manager Ian Baraclough to become Scunthorpe's permanent boss.

Scunthorpe United midfielder Michael O'Connor has backed caretaker manager Ian Baraclough to succeed Nigel Adkins on a permanent basis.
The former Iron defender's bid for the job got off to the perfect start with a 4-0 victory at Sheffield United and only two late goals cost them at Swansea on Saturday.
O'Connor, who was brought to Glanford Park by Adkins around 14 months ago, believes it is up to the players to earn Baraclough the role permanently.
Baraclough has confirmed he will make a decision this week on whether he wants the job full-time and O'Connor is keen to see stability quickly brought to the club.
New chapter
"We've got a caretaker manager quickly installed in Ian Baraclough and he knows the club well having been here a good few years himself, so hopefully we can do well for him on the pitch and maybe give him a chance of getting the job permanently," O'Connor told
skysports.com.
"Every club needs stability and Ian replacing Nigel on a permanent basis would provide that, but we have to prove that he is a good manager by doing well on the pitch.
"If not then hopefully a new manager will be installed soon enough and we can start that new chapter as quickly as we can.
"We did ever so well to beat Sheffield United and were desperately unlucky to concede so late on at Swansea, but what better way to bounce back than to put in a good performance against Manchester United this week."
The Iron were strong favourites to go down at the start of this season, after losing key players over the summer, and O'Connor believes those doubters help the players to raise their game.
He added: "Everyone knows that we are favourites to go down again this year, but we proved those critics wrong last season and those doubters spur us on in every game that we go into."
