Everton's Seamus Coleman has credited manager David Moyes after being fast-tracked to Republic of Ireland's senior set-up.
The Toffees defender could win his first cap in Ireland's Euro 2012 qualifier against Russia on Friday.
Coleman has made two Premier League starts for Everton this season and credits his meteoric rise to Moyes.
The 21-year-old knows he is far from the finished article and insists he is not getting carried away with his progress.

"(Moyes) has definitely has improved me. He's eased me in. He gives me a lot of advice," he told
Sky Sports News.
"I know myself that I'm still learning some parts of the game and that.
"He's a good manager to play under. I obviously have to thank him for getting called into the international set-up.
"You don't want to cross him, but I think that's the way you've got to be as a player anyway.
"You've got to respect your manager and whatever they say you've got to do because they are your boss at the end of the day.
"That's the way I am anyway, if I'm told to do something I'll do it."
Six points
Meanwhile, Republic of Ireland team-mate Liam Lawrence believes Giovanni Trapattoni's men can see off Russia in Dublin before toppling Slovakia next week.
"I think we can give anyone a game and we can beat anybody, and I do think that six points is within our reach," he said.
"They are two massive games, especially on Friday. It's going to be a really tough game, but we have come through these tough games in the past and we have got to again.
"They will be stung a little bit and they will be hurting from that defeat.
"I am not sure they will be looking forward to coming here, so hopefully we can catch them again and we can get the win."
