Stoke City goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen expects to be fit for the club's weekend Premier League clash with Bolton.
The Denmark international pulled out of their Euro 2012 qualifier against Cyprus on Tuesday due to a muscle injury.
He started Friday's 2-1 qualifying defeat to Portugal, but had to be replaced by Anders Lindegaard just after the half hour mark.
Sorensen has played down the severity of the knock and believes that with a week's rest he will be available to face Bolton.
"It is a small tear in the hip area and an ultrasound scan showed there was some bleeding," explained Sorensen.
"I'm walking all right, but it's the explosive work, like kicking and sprinting, which is a problem.
"The doctor in Denmark told me this injury usually lasts a week so there shouldn't be a problem for the weekend.
"It was a difficult decision to come home, but you cannot gamble on this sort of thing.
"I know I have made the right decision."
