Fresh from helping to preserve Celtic's 100 per cent start to the season, Gary Hooper is targeting more goals.
The former Scunthorpe frontman took his tally for the season to three on Sunday with a match-winning brace against Dundee United.
He hopes there will be plenty more to come from him over the coming weeks as he looks to repay the faith shown in him by the Bhoys over the summer when they snapped him up to lead their title charge.
Hooper told the Daily Record: "The gaffer brought me in to score goals. That's my job along with the other strikers. I am proving that just now.
"That's three goals in the league in two games now. I will just take it from there. My best tally in the Championship was 19 goals.
"The target for me is to beat Kenny Miller and to keep scoring."
Hooper will go head-to-head with Miller on Sunday when Rangers arrive at Parkhead for the first Old Firm derby of the season.
The 22-year-old acknowledges that, with both Glasgow giants currently sat on 24 points, that contest could be pivotal, but he is confident that Celtic have the firepower to steal an early march on their arch-rivals.
"I feel we have the best squad but I haven't seen all the teams yet," he added.
"We have a good team with all different nationalities bonding together and that showed out there against Dundee United.
"Both Old Firm sides have now gone eight games unbeaten and that makes it a really big week."
