Jay Bothroyd admits he is 'gutted' to be missing Cardiff City's local derby with Swansea City due to suspension.
The in-form striker scored his 10th Championship goal of the season on Saturday as a 3-1 win over Norwich City took Cardiff to the top of the table.
However, the result came at a personal cost to Bothroyd, who picked up his fifth yellow card of the season, which rules him out of Sunday's showdown.
He is disappointed to be sitting out the game against Swansea and feels he was harshly treated on the back of an incident in his previous match against Leeds United.
"I'm gutted," the 28-year-old told the club's official website. "I'm disappointed I can't play in the derby, but we have to deal with that now.
"Our squad this year is tremendous and the likes of (Andy) Keogh and Koumy (Jason Koumas) are there to come in.
"My tackle against Leeds was highlighted a lot last week, but I went into that challenge with (Leeds striker Luciano) Becchio to win the ball, not to hurt him. I'm not that sort of player.
"I think that might have been in the back of the officials' minds against Norwich because I didn't touch their player.
"I've gone in to win the ball, their player has jumped up in the air and the referee saw fit to book me for that."
