Celtic striker Gary Hooper has confirmed he is fit and available to manager Neil Lennon for the weekend clash with Aberdeen.
The former Scunthorpe man has been resting of late after damaging his foot in last week's Co-operative Insurance Cup success over St Johnstone.
Hooper missed their weekend win, also over St Johnstone, with the injury, however, it was only a minor knock and he is now in contention for the visit of Aberdeen.
But the 22-year-old is not assuming he will waltz straight back into Lennon's starting XI despite his Old Firm goal against Rangers.
"At first I thought it was going to be worse than it was," he told the club's official website. "But a few days rest was enough and I was able to come back quickly. I had a day in with the physios and then the next day I trained so I was happy with that.
"I've been training this week so I'm fully fit and ready for Saturday's game against Aberdeen. I watched the league game last weekend and it was really frustrating being on the sidelines. But we did well, especially on a tricky pitch. We defended well, cleared our lines and scored the goals.
"There's a lot of competition in the squad at the moment though and that will make it hard to get back into the side. Niall McGinn's been playing well, and so to has Anthony Stokes who is a clever player with a good touch.
"Shaun Maloney's also back now and Daryl Murphy's on his way back too. We've been scoring goals which has been the most important thing, and keeping clean sheets at the other end too."
