Anthony Stokes believes his blossoming partnership with Gary Hooper is as good as any in Celtic's recent history.
The duo have been in awesome form of late and bagged a hat-trick apiece in Saturday's 9-0 demolition of Aberdeen.
Those exploits took Hooper onto nine goals for the season, while Stokes has plundered eight for the Bhoys and one for previous employers Hibernian.
Stokes believes there is still plenty more to come from the pair this season and is convinced they can match the exploits of the legendary Henrik Larsson/Chris Sutton double act which caused so much damage at the turn of the 21st century.
"We can do the same as Larsson and Sutton did for Celtic," the Irishman said in the Evening Times.
"Hoops likes to play that little bit higher than I do, I like to come off. It suits us.
"We work very well together and if he's in a better position than me, then I'll give him the ball.
"But the best aspect of the two of us is scoring goals and we just want to score as many as we can.
"Going forward, we really look like we're gelling and hopefully it's a sign of things to come."
Neil Lennon will be delighted with the performance of his attacking unit at present and Stokes admits the competition for places at Parkhead will ensure that he and Hooper are not allowed to rest on their laurels.
"We've got big Sammy (Georgios Samaras), who's outstanding, Murph (Daryl Murphy) up there as well, so we have to keep on our toes," added Stokes.
"I don't think any individual just has to score. The most important thing is the team performance.
"We've shown that if we play the way we did against Aberdeen then a few of us can get on the scoresheet."
