Germany defender looking beyond career with Bayern

Bayern Munich defender Philipp Lahm could be interested in playing abroad in the future despite signing a new contract at the Allianz Arena in early November. The Germany international has committed to the defending Bundesliga champions until 2016 and he is happy in Munich. But Lahm, 26, is also giving thought to a possible change in his career after his time with Bayern. "When my contract expires in 2016, I will be 32 years old and playing abroad then could be an issue for me," said Lahm in Sunday's edition of Bild. "I decided to stay in Bayern, because the club is part of me, I live for Bayern and I like Bayern, so why should I leave? "They are one of the top five clubs in the world, we are building something here. "All I ask is that we have the opportunity to win the Champions League and that is the case here."
