Ex-England full-back questions Capello's experiment for France game
Danny Mills believes Fabio Capello's England experiment has gone 'a little too far' and feels Kevin Davies must be 'devastated' to miss out on the France game.
Capello has selected an inexperienced squad for Wednesday's friendly, with Kieran Gibbs, Jordan Henderson and Andy Carroll all pencilled in to start at Wembley.
There could also be a debut for Cardiff City striker Jay Bothroyd, who is bidding to become the first non-Premier League player since David Nugent in 2007 to appear for England.
Bolton Wanderers striker Davies, called up for last month's Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro, was surprisingly left out and Mills is shocked that Capello has overlooked the 33-year-old in favour of Bothroyd.

He told
Sky Sports News Radio: "This is England, one of the greatest football nations on the planet. We haven't had a good time of late, but we're still one of the top eight (sides) in the world.
"Bothroyd has done well, but he's done well in the Championship and hasn't proved anything in the Premier League.
"Kevin Davies must be absolutely devastated. He did okay when he came on last time and since then played incredibly well against Tottenham. He got a couple of goals in front of Fabio Capello in that game and suddenly he finds himself in the wilderness."
Capello's squad contains a number of other players untested at international level and Mills, who won 19 caps for England, feels the Italian is asking for trouble.
He added: "The only experienced players in there are Gareth Barry, Steven Gerrard and Rio Ferdinand.
"I realise Capello is experimenting, but I think it's gone a little too far and I'm not sure how he's going to mix all these players in.
"There'll be a lot of disappointments next time around when a lot of them get left out again."
