Manchester United defender Ritchie De Laet is looking forward to more first-team football after linking up with Preston on an emergency loan.
The Belgian stopper has completed a loan spell with Championship rivals Sheffield United and with first-team chances at Old Trafford limited he has now departed for a second time.
De Laet made four league starts and two appearances off the bench during his time with the Blades and he has acknowledged the best option right now is to be playing.
The 21-year-old has joined on an emergency loan until 13th December and he joins fellow United youngsters Joshua King and Matthew James at the Lancashire club.
"I want some games. I am not getting them at United at the moment and so the best thing for me is to go out on loan, get some games and help Preston," he told Preston Player.
"Hopefully, Preston will be able to help me as well going forward."
De Laet was a regular for The Blades and he enjoyed his time at Bramall Lane, adding: "It was a good experience.
"It was the first time that I went out on loan to a Championship club.
"I know how it is in the Championship now so hopefully I can help myself and help Preston."
