Kilmarnock loan star Alexei Eremenko has confirmed he is happy at the club and hopes to see out the season at Rugby Park.
The Finland international is currently on a season-long loan to the SPL side, although he could be sold by parent club Metalist Kharkiv in January.
Eremenko has been a regular for manager Mixu Paatelainen this term and is enjoying first-team football.
The 27-year-old knows Metalist hold the key to his future in the New Year and he is just crossing his fingers he can stay on with Killie.
"I'm enjoying my time here. My team-mates have been excellent," he told skysports.com.
"It's not always easy to come into a new team. I'm very happy here. I think we're playing very good football.
"Things depend on my team Metalist. What they think in January. I'm happy here and I want to stay.
"In January if Metalist want to sell me and they get an offer it's up to them. They are deciding my future."
Kilmarnock have been a much improved team this season, but Eremenko thinks it is too early in the campaign to be thinking about Europe.
The Rugby Park outfit narrowly avoided the drop last term and while they are making great strides this time around Eremenko is staying grounded.
"The guys, we've not spoken about that in the dressing yet. The guys are just trying to do what the gaffer wants us to do," he continued.
"It's too early to speak about Europe yet. Let's see closer to May where we are.
"At the moment we're just enjoying playing football. The most important thing is that the fans are enjoying watching us play."
